MGCC MIDLAND CENTRE - WELSH TOURING RALLYE 2025

Staying for TWO nights at the Metropole Spa Hotel in Llandrindod Wells the weekend includes, dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights, entry into the Touring Run, Rallye Plate and Roadbook and includes lunch and coffee stops.

To cater for pre-war MGs including our Invited members from the MMM Register, and those who prefer these days a more leisurely drive around the Welsh landscape, there will be two route choices, of approximately 85 miles each. In addition a longer route combining both Routes A & B is available which covers approx. 140 miles.

Route ‘A’  takes us north past the Elan Valley Reservoirs and west to Devils Bridge for a coffee break. Then south to Tregaron before heading east over Devils Staircase to Llanwrtyd Wells where there will be a lunch before returning to the Metropole.

Route ‘B’ goes south via Llanwrtyd Wells across Epynt to Sennybridge for lunch. Returning North via ErwoodStation to the Metropole. This route particularly for MMM Cars.

In the evening, a full dinner embracing a Peaky Blinders theme so flat caps and waistcoats for men and maybe a suitable hat for the ladies. However, there is absolutely no obligation to dress this way; it is all just a bit of fun. Following dinner, we will stage our take on the BBC Room 101, whereby each table will nominate what most irritates them and argue their case. The winning table subject to room applause will win a prize.

BOOKING PROCESS              
Once again for 2025 we will be following the event booking guidelines suggested by the main MG Car Club, partly because the Midland Centre isn't classed as a Tour Operator and doesn't have the necessary licencing, therefore the entry process for the 2025 Welsh Touring Rallye will be in two parts.

PART 1 -THE RALLYE BOOKING...  

Please complete our online Rallye Run Booking entry form (link below) then please submit your payment of £65 per car for MGCC /MGOC Members (or £70 for Non Members) which will cover the costs for the basic Rallye, Refreshments & Lunch. This will need to be paid directly to the MGCC Midland Centre by bank transfer upon submission of our online entry form.

PART 2 - THE ACCOMMODATION BOOKING...  

We have arranged with the Metropole Hotel and Spa, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 5DY for a fixed price from £85pp per night for a  'Classic Room', including dinner bed and breakfast.  So the weekend hotel rate will be from £340 per couple.

19 • ClassicPlus Double or Twin @ £180/Room/Night - Total = £360

When you have received confirmation of your entry onto the Rallye, please arrange your own hotel booking by telephoning the Metropole Hotel (01597 823 700) quoting the 'HOTEL PROMO CODE’ which you will receive from us following submission of the entry form. Not forgetting to request the hotels cancellation arrangements if your circumstances change.

TOTAL COSTS FOR THE WEEKEND...

For MGCC & MGOC Members the total cost will be from £405 -  (Hotel From £340 + Rallye Run £65)   if you hurry and book a Classic room.

Not forgetting this includes ALL MEALS.
