MGCC Autumn Trial & Taster Trial - 22nd September 2024

The MG Car Club Ltd Midland Centre continues the long-standing tradition of organising an Autumn Trial. It will take place at East Lodge Farm , Bromsgrove on Sunday 22-09-2024. We’ve run this event non-stop for more than 60 years, in spite a foot and mouth outbreak and the recent pandemic.  Despite raging inflation we’ve managed to knock a fiver from the entry fee, easing the pain in your pocket!

The entry form is user friendly; it doesn’t require scrutineering declarations; we’ll have regular hands-on scrutineering on the day. 

So please enter early, then we can get all the admin stuff out of the way and concentrate on the layout of the sections. We’ve got a 40-acre site to play with which lends itself to more AutoSolo style, forward only tests as a tie breaker and an opportunity to explore handling on a level surface, there will still be six observed sections with several rounds’ morning and afternoon.

We will also run a Taster Trial for the eighth year, an event which has proved popular with novices of all ages. The beauty of the MSUK Taster scheme is that participants don’t have to be a club member to benefit from MSUK insurance cover, all they need is an RS Clubman Licence available free from the MSUK website, how to get one is explained in the regs. The MGCC has a booming Young Members Branch which has the active support of the Midland Centre. Along with some of them and youngsters in your clubs plus tuition from experienced drivers the Midland Centre puts on a good experience to whet their appetites for Production Car Trials one of the least expensive forms of motorsport, this year the first 10 under twenty-five age entries will be free! So please advertise and promote this event with likely younger or novice entrants.
